Click here Register here to become a volunteer Spring Together CIC is looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to help support our free weekly GetFit Hub physical activity sessions in Oldham. GetFit Hub helps adults become more physically active in a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment. Participants may include people who have been inactive, have low fitness or confidence, live with pain or long-term health conditions, or experience financial barriers to accessing physical activity. Community Volunteers will play an important role in helping participants feel welcomed, encouraged and included. You do not need to be a fitness or healthcare professional. We are looking for people who are friendly, dependable and interested in making a positive difference in their community. Key information Volunteer: Weekly Availability: Saturday AM, Saturday PM Tasks: Welcome participants when they arrive. Help create a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. Support participants to feel comfortable and involved. Assist the Spring Together team with setting up and closing down sessions. Help with simple registration or attendance activities where required. Signpost participants to the appropriate member of the team when they need assistance. Encourage participants during activities without providing clinical or professional advice. Help ensure the session runs smoothly. Promote respect, inclusion and positive wellbeing. Work alongside the Registered Physiotherapist and Spring Together team. Training: No specialist health or fitness qualification is required for the general Community Volunteer role. Volunteers will receive an induction to Spring Together CIC and GetFit Hub, including guidance on their responsibilities, boundaries, participant support and relevant organisational procedures. Ongoing support will be available from the Spring Together team.
